She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Goatley and Opal Knight Goatley; her sons, Ryan Brown and Aaron Brown; and her grandson Seth Lewis.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Brown; her daughters, Meghan Lewis (Bradley) and Ashton Bradley (Emmerson); her grandchildren, Lilly Lewis (Jaysen), Cooper Lewis, Ava Gaddy, Marleigh Gaddy and Lennox Bradley; and her sisters, Barbara Bethman and Joy Weaver. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Friday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Saturday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
