It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leah Hudson Calvert of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Wood and Caleb Wood; her siblings, Franklin Wood, Ruth Barbee, Grady Wood, Peachie Marshburn and Merrit Wood; and her husbands, Billy Hudson and Warren Calvert.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Filomena (Danny), Shauna Bishop (Kelly) and Jeffrey Hudson (Angela); her grandchildren, Daniel Filomena (Tracey), Caleb Filomena, Leah Filomena (Edward) and Ian Hudson; her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Hana, Eliana, Skyler, Harrison and Addie Filomena; her grandchildren-in-law, Susan Thomas (John) and Brian Bishop (Kandi); and her sister-in-law Mary Wood. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and their children.
