He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliza Wooten and Carroll Wooten of Maple Hill, NC.; and his brothers, Carroll Wooten Jr. (Ruby) and Gene Wooten. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Wooten; his daughters, Shirley Evans (Terry) and Ronda Mills; his grandchildren, Kimberly Mack (Layne) of Wilmington, NC, Samantha Mao (Yuxuan) of Richmond, VA, Matthew Evans (Haley) of Wilmington, NC and Rachel Coleman (Chris) of Leland, NC.; his great grandchildren, Fiona Mack, Oliver Coleman and Paxton Mao; his sister-in-law Linda Wooten; his parents-in-law, Flora Lanier and Bruce Lanier; his siblings-in-law, Carlton Lanier (Peggy), Barden Lanier (Phoebe), Alton Lanier (Pat) and Faye Russ (John); and also Flora.
