She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Vincent Ware; and her children, Stephen Crooms of Kinston, Ebony Crooms-Nivar (Kenny) of Apex, Jamal Crooms of Jacksonville and LaJene Mathis (Lamar). She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of sisters, brothers, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Saunders Funeral Home (210 Bell Fork Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
