He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Shea; his parents, Oswell Shea and Mary Shea; and his sister Wilma Hill. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Dawn Cole (BB) and David Hawkins (Tiffany); his sisters, Linda Jumbercotta, Mary Ellen Wilson, Kathy Cruce and Patricia Harrington; and his grandchildren, Katelyn and Christopher Cole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
