It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paula Gail Reid of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Lanier; and her siblings, Rita and Neil Lanier. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Reid; her mother Elise Lanier of New Bern; her daughters, Laura Reid Cumbo (David) of Jacksonville and Rebecca Reid Hayworth (Erik); and her grandchildren, Riley, Brooks and Ellie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Friday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Onslow Memorial Park (3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases or the American Liver Foundation.
