With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Rouse of Jacksonville, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Basil Rouse and Clara Jean Rouse (Johnson); and his sister Nell Garris. He is survived by: his children, Marty Barwick (Kristi) of Mt. Olive and Meghan Brown (David) of Jacksonville; his stepdaughters, Mary Jenkins of Kinston and Dawn Wiggins of Kinston; his grandchildren, Sara Leeann Barwick of Mt. Olive, Justin Barwick of Goldsboro and Willow Pimenta of Jacksonville; his great grandchild Sha'lynn Jones; his brother Jessie Rouse; and his close friends, Debbie Rouse, Joe, Kathy Barwick, Lim, Deborah Lewis and Betty Anderson. He is also survived by family and friends.
