It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert John Lachapelle of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John Lachapelle, Sr. and Edith McClain Lachapelle; and his brother Timothy Lachapelle. He is survived by: his wife Ruth "Elaine" Lachapelle; his children, Kimberly Lachapelle Christner (Nick) of Barhamsville, VA and Robert "Tiger" Lachapelle III (Karen) of Tarboro, NC; his grandsons, Robert "Chap" Lachapelle, IV of Greenville, NC and Copeland Ward Lachapelle of Tarboro, NC; and his sisters, Connie Mullen of Greer, SC and Terry Secret of Rainelle, WVA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
