She was predeceased by: her husband GySgt George W. James; her children, Guilford James, Brenda L. Bell and MSgt George James III; her grandsons, Leo Bell III and Michael Bell; her siblings, Edward "Sunny" Smith and Mary Fraley; her niece Dana Fraley Gray; and her cousin Laura Shirley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Crystal Booker (Archie) of Stockbridge, GA and Audra James-Weaver of Jacksonville, NC.
