He is survived by: his wife Elsa Evans; his children, Maria Cortez (Emilio) of Reston, VA, Shelia Bacino of Houston, TX, Robert Slayden Evans of Jacksonville, NC, Norma Couturier (John) of Franklinton, NC and Rita VanNess (Rick) of Franklinton, NC; his grandchildren, Amy, Christina, Steven, Garrett, Christian, Ariel, Ashley, Jacklyn, Joey and Nicholas; and his great grandchildren, Brooks and Aiden. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
