He is survived by: his wife Joyce Meadows Short; his daughter Naomi Shultis (Victor); his grandchildren, Emerson Shultis and Rowan Shultis; his sister Pamela Brinkley (William) of Jacksonville; his sister-in-law Robin Milligan (David) of Richlands; and his nephews, Michael S. Urton (Amy) of Wake Forest and Bryan D. Urton (Vanessa) of Flagstaff, AZ. He is also survived by five great-nieces and nephews, as well as two uncles and many cousins.
