He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Purvis Howle and Carrie Sue "Tiny" Benson Howle; his wife Elizabeth Dunaway; and his siblings, Jimmie Howle and Betty Howle Taylor.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Howle (Tamara) of Columbia and Dr. Jonathan Howle (Martin Pena) of Arden; his grandchildren, Luke Howle of Columbia and Elise Howle of Charleston; his nephews, Roger Howle of Quinby and David Taylor of Simpsonville; and his niece Beth Howle of Florence.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memory Cafe at Jamestown United Methodist Church.
