He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leonard and Lila Marie Schemel Behrens; and his siblings, Dorothy Behrens, Florence Green, Delores Brovold, Margaret Bunnell, Norma Nacke, Katherine Edens, Marie Behrens and James "Jimmy" Behrens.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly "Bev" Claire Varvel Behrens; his daughter Dr. Melissa Behrens (Jonathan Smiley) of Thomasville; his pet Bailey; his siblings, Mary Poeppel of Fort Atkinson, Lois O'Neill of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and John Behrens (Virginia) of Darien, Wisconsin; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Bunnell of Delavan and Delbert "Del" Edens of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
