It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Gurkin Roberson of Jamesville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Lee and Chloe Roberson; his sister Mary Lee Dew; and his grandson Luke Alexander Morrison. He is survived by: his wife Kay Joyner Roberson; his children, Jill Morrison and Jason Roberson (Kristi); his sister Dorothy Roberson Ange; his brother-in-law Gary Joyner (Faye); his grandchildren, Logan Morrison, Reid Roberson and Ryan Roberson; and his nieces and nephews, Robbie Ange (Doris), Rodney Ange, Randy Joyner (Shawnee), Amy Modlin (Phil), Alice Johnson (Steven), Emily Matthews (Billy) and Kimberly Joyner.
