He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Steven Watts and Genieve Elizabeth Baker; his son Bilal Watts; and his siblings, Steven Watts, David Watts and Geraldine "Jerry" Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Pauletta Watts of Jamesville, NC; his children, Tyisha Roberts (June) of Harrisburg, PA, Mikal Watts (Lakisha) of Harrisburg, PA, Kilea Watts of Harrisburg, PA, Michael Watts, Jr. (Maria) of Jamesville, NC, Tasha'Woolard (Jaron) of Washington, NC and Jasmine Nnadi (Macquin) of Greenville, NC; his sister Sharon Watts Parsons of Philadelphia, PA; his mother-in-law Pauline Corey of Jamesville, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Armon Corey (Donya) of Philadelphia, PA, Patrice Corey of Jamesville, NC and Christine Miles of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Washington Funeral and Cremation (4500 US-264, Washington, NC 27889). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
