He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Henry and Annette Dupree Modlin (Jones); his sister Mary Clyde Modlin Hardison; and his grandmother Faye Modlin Schorb (James Davis "Buster" Modlin). He is survived by: his daughters, Kristy Dupree Modlin and Amy Modlin Gibbs (Dan); his granddaughters, Caroline Nicole Gibbs and Kate Olivia Gibbs; and his nephew Timmie Modlin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Biggs Funeral Home (302 W Main St, Williamston, NC 27892). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Poplar Chapel Church of Christ (2451 Jerden Thicket Rd, Jamesville, NC 27846).
