He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Ida Sabra Black Stanley; and his siblings, Nora Stanley, Carrie Stanley, Johnsie Stanley, Venie Wood, Ada Duffin, Zora Miller, Mae Morrison, Ruth Lockhart and Gene Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Fox Stanley; his daughter Movita Stanley Hurst (Mark); his stepgrandsons, Ed, Cal and Zach Hurst; his nephews, Jerry Smith, Mark Stanley and Steve Lockhart; his niece Marsha Stanley; and his siblings-in-law, Imogene Goodman, Maxine Smith and Danny Weaver.
