He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mitchell Jenkins Sr. and Pearl Beatrice Wyatt Jenkins; and his siblings, Muriel Jenkins, J. C. Jenkins and Marcella Goodman.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Jenkins of Statesville; his sister Melba Phillips (Dwight) of Wilkesboro; and his sister-in-law Margaret Jenkins of West Jefferson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
