It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Garfield Shatley of Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Quincy Garfield and Hattie Kearley Shatley; his wife Betty Jean Roland Shatley; his sister Iva Flynn; his sisters-in-law, Ovid, Gaye Shatley (Raymond), Maggie Shatley (Allen), Evelyn Shatley (Dean) and Arlene Shatley; and his brother Joe Kearley.

He is survived by: his children, Teddy Shatley (Terri) of Jefferson, Eddie Shatley (Tina) of Jefferson and Debbie Severt (Rusty) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Logan Shatley of Jefferson, Dylan Severt of Jefferson, Mikayla Calloway (Steven) of Wilkes, Makensie Hudler (Zach) of Jefferson and Maria Shatley of Jefferson; his great grandchildren, Natalie Hudler, Callie Jo Hudler of Jefferson and Clara Faye Calloway of Wilkes; and his sister-in-law Barbara Kearley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 166 Gum Branch Rd, Jefferson, NC 28640.
