He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Lyall Vannoy; his daughter Pam Hudler (Bobby) of Midland, Texas; his brother Russell Vannoy (Ann) of West Jefferson; his sister-in-law Dorothy Vannoy of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Emily Hudler of Burleson and Kelly Ann Carroll (William) of Midland; his great grandchildren, Kensington and Ellington Carroll; Ruby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Air Conditioning Fund (PO Box 65, Jefferson, NC 28640) or to Medi Home Hospice (PO Box 421, Jefferson, NC 28640).
