He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Clifton Lyons and Minnie Clementine Holbrook; his sons, Eric Lyons and Rocky Lyons; and his siblings, Emma Lou Darnell, Helen Smith and Sam Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Lyons; his son Robby Lee Lyons (Teresa) of Jonesville; his stepsons, Kenny Holbrook (Robin) of State Road and Greg Holbrook (Sherry) of Thurmond; his daughters, Susan Nance (Matthew Thompson) of Elkin and Sandra Lyons Royal of Winston-Salem; his stepdaughters, Teresa Cox (Barry) of Elkin and Debby Chappell (Randy) of Elkin; and his pet Rocket. He is also survived by several loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (593 Pleasant Hill Dr, Elkin, NC 28621). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
