He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Vestal and Mae Ashley Vestal; and his siblings, Shirley Vestal and Daniel Vestal. He is survived by: his wife Nancy York Vestal; his daughter Sharon Jackson (Scott); his grandchildren, Amber Jackson and Tyler Jackson (Marcie); his great grandchild Farrah Folger; and his sister Louise Vestal Calloway.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service (4517 Little Mountain Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Arlington First Baptist Church (345 S Main St, Jonesville, NC 28642). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at the Crestwood Memorial Gardens (914 US-21, State Road, NC 28676).
