He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Byrd and Maude Mastin Byrd; his wife Patti Byrd; and his brother John Ross Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Brian Byrd of Jonesville and Jenee Wood (David) of Belmont.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (615 W Main St, Elkin, NC 28621). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Arlington First Baptist Church Cemetery (345 S Main St, Jonesville, NC 28642).
