She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frank Stroud and Ruby Sparks Stroud; her husband Ralph Clay Cheek; and her daughter-in-law Liza Cheek. She is survived by: her children, Kevin Edward Cheek, Beryle Cheek Shore (David) and Zana D. Cheek; her grandchildren, Lorna, Eric, Victor, Lynn, Evangeline, Abigail, Justin Shore (Larissa) and Tyler Shore; her great grandchildren, Chelsea, Chrystle, Daniel, Alexandria, Khayla, Kenzo, Noah, Hunter, Emelia, Jack and Zoey; and her siblings, Lucy Lawrence and Don Stroud (Betty).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Services of Jonesville (4517 Little Mountain Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Swan Creek Baptist Church (2501 Swan Creek Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the same location.
