She was predeceased by: her father Conley "Velt" Cox; and her husband Gerald Evans. She is survived by: her daughter Lora Layne Evans of Jonesville; her grandson Troy Layne Evans (Lindsay) of Leland, NC; her great grandchild Hunter Layne Evans; and her siblings, Shirley Cox King of Hamptonville, Billy Ray Cox of Traphill, Allen (Connie Evans) and Homer Shockley of Rural Hall. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
