He is survived by: his children, Jay Cook of Mooresville, Burke Cook of Mooresville and Stephen Strother of Kannapolis; his sisters, Kelly Dickson (Steve Shaw) of Rockwell and Holly Steele (Randy) of Kannapolis; his extended family, Amy Dean, James Dean, Robert Dean, Matthew Stirewalt, Trent Steele and Alex Dean; and his pet Skye.
