It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Strickland Hughes (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Columbus Strickland and Mary Knowles Strickland; and her siblings, Linda Strickland and Ronnie Strickland. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Hughes; her children, Randy Hughes (Maria), Scotty Hughes (Roni) and Teresa Simmons (Scott); her grandchildren, Josh Hughes, Amber Hughes, Ashley Hughes (Jessica), Jacob Rogers (Rikki), Taylor Hughes, Colton Hughes (Sam), Zachary Rogers and Malcolm Hughes; her great grandchildren, Kase Rogers, Easton Hughes and Makai Hughes; and also, Jesse and Shannon.
