He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Monroe Walter, Sr. and Minnie Allman Walter; his wife Doris Hilda Boyd Walter; his daughter Shelia Ann Fleeman; and his siblings, York Odell Walter, Martin Walter, Jr., Melvin Walter, Jr., Ray Walter, Pauline Parker, Thelma Hartis, Ethel Moore, Alma Lequire, Frances Slough, Margaret Barnhardt and Lessie Hudson.
He is survived by: his son Jerry Wayne Walter of Rockwell; his grandchildren, Melissa Blovsky (Jim), Alan Thompson (Myra), Karen W. Courtney, Mark Walter and Jamie Hall (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Taylor Blovsky (Jackie), Kelsie Blovsky, Dylan Courtney, Brandyn Courtney, Angel Thompson, Jesse Walter, Luke Walter, Josh Walter, Isla Walter, Noah Hall, Corbin Hall and Blake Marek; his great great grandchild Jensen Blovsky; and his sisters, Jerline Helms (John) of Ohio and Doris Turner of Kannapolis.
