He is survived by: his daughter Shelley Ballard Lanham of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Karah Michele Lanham, Devon Michael Upright (Patience) and Alexa Grace Ballard Poplaski; his sister Lisa White (Mark) of China Grove; his nieces, Christy Crowell (Greg) and Julia Walter; and his great-nephews, Nathan Nowak, Madyx Nowak, Spencer Walter and Graham Walter. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
