It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Wayne Rice of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Bland Rice and Ethel Coredell Herron Rice. He is survived by : his children, Marie Pauley (Andrew) and Christopher Rice (Kara); his sister Lila Hudgens; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Andi Pauley, Alexa and Rayden Rice.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212).
