She was predeceased by: her parents, Cord Dixon and Alice Elizabeth Odom Dixon; her former husband H. L. Dixon; and her husband James Mellons. She is survived by: her children, Johnnie Dixon (Tikki) of Fuquay-Varina, Joyce Cox (David) of Corryton, Peggy Broadway (C. T.) of Concord, Phyllis Sellers (Mike) of China Grove, Teresa Brines (Maurice) of Concord and Gail Pierce (Kevin) of Stanfield; and her siblings, Shirley Wayne of South Carolina, Carol West of Kannapolis and Everette Dixon of Kannapolis. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.
