He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Morehead and Ethel Lee White Morehead; his wife Emma Jean Howard Morehead; his daughters, Monica McKenzie of Kannapolis, NC, Crystal Dublin (James) of Concord, NC, Deloris Morrow (Victor) of Concord, NC and Shaquita Dancy (Hiram) of Durham, NC; his stepchildren, Frances Banks (David) of Kannapolis, NC, Tracy Howard of Concord, NC, Richard Howard of Kannapolis, NC and Talesha Smith (Tyrone) of Kannapolis, NC; his sister Ann Delores Walker (Joe) of Springfield, VA; and his sibling's children, Joann Walker, Samuel Morehead and Joseph Walker, Jr.. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren.
