He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hawkins Benton and Willie Lou Thompson Benton; and his wife Annie Lois Armstrong. He is survived by: his sons, Rick Benton (Bettye) of Surf City, NC, Ronnie Benton of Kannapolis and Randy Benton of Landis; his grandchildren, Ross Benton of Surf City, Bret Benton (Elizabeth) of Cape Carteret and Briittany Benton; and his great grandchildren, Ashton and Parker Benton.
