With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Helms Jr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred O. Helms Sr. and Arabelle Byrd Helms; his wife Helen Cartner Helms; his granddaughter Emma Peeler; and his great grandchildren, Zach, Bailey Willard, Laci Peeler, Gracyn Little, Logan, Cayden, Cassidy, Cailyn and Caison Farmer.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Helms Linn (Walter) and Richard Alan Helms (Pauline); his grandchildren, Charlotte Willard, Steven Farmer Cheryl H. (Kristen) and Brian Alan Helms; Anita Huie.
