With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Janet Turner of Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 65. She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Tyson and Maxine Carolyn Harpe Tyson; and her nephew Jeffrey Todd Abernathy. She is survived by: her siblings, Pat Abernathy (Joe), Wayne Tyson (Tracy) and Charles Gibson (Marlisa); and her siblings' children, Ashley, David, Brenden, Justin, Jacob and Cyindi.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
