She was predeceased by: her parents, Cheet Holcombe and Texie Robinson Holcombe; her husband James V. Deweese; and her son Bobby Wayne Deweese. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Nesbitt; her grandchildren, Jennifer Biddy, Jeremy Nesbitt and James Deweese; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Biddy, Landon Biddy, Cody Nesbitt, Arabella Deweese and Aiddin Deweese.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
