She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Nichols and Dorothy Riley Nichols of Michigan; her sister Jane Baechler; and her son Jerry W. Walker Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Walker of Kannapolis; her children, Aaron Walker of Richfield, Teresa Bostian of Concord and April; her grandchildren, Abraham Bostian and Andrea Bostian of Concord; her great grandchildren, Jeremy Mullis of Claremont and Abigail Jones of Mt. Pleasant; and her siblings, Mary Churchill, Dorothy Pyrc, Patricia Stroub and Stewart Nichols. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Clermont Free Will Baptist Church, 4686 Rainbow Drive, Kannapolis, NC.
