With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Allen Helms of Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance E. Helms and Edna Helms; his siblings, Ken Helms (Gloria), Hugh Helms (Joyce) and Brenda Webster; and his siblings' children, Ricky Helms, Cliff Webster Jr. (Cliffie), Kevin Helms and Rene Hendricks.
He is survived by: his wife Kristi Helms of Kannapolis; his sons, James Helms Jr. (Ellen) of Concord, Larry Helms (Tiffany) of Fort Lawn, SC and Chris Helms of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Brittany Helms, T. J. Cochran, Abigail Helms and Rachel Helms; and his siblings, Vance E. Helms Jr. (Francis), Harry Wayne Helms (Cathy), Lena Gillon (Harry) and Sue Sullivan.
