He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cooper and Ollie Cooper; his sister Helen Louise Cooper; his daughter Julie Rae Doncheske; and his former wife Helen H. Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife April Cooper; his stepson Steven Barr; and his siblings, Jack Cooper, Bill Cooper and Joann Pressley. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar New Grace Baptist Church (1160 Warren Coleman Blvd, Concord, NC 28025). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM.
