It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Linker Shaver Jr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Shaver, Sr. and Arlene Vernice Wise Shaver. He is survived by: his wife Betty Shaver; his siblings, Doris Clanton and Gene Shaver; his children, Debra Wood (Jim Cocke), Janet Hall (Dennis), Dennis Shaver (Chris) and Donnie Shaver (Janice); and his grandchildren, Kelsey Wood, Bryan Wood, Leslie Schlesinger (Stephan), Taylor D'Avanzo (Antonio), Robert Shaver (Reese Moore), Reid Shaver (Allison), Paul Shaver and Kevin Shaver (Victoria). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
