It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Hoyle (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John McCree and Edna Mae Fortson; her sons, Melvin Wilson and Milton Wilson; her grandchildren, Immanuel Greene, Lindsay Ware and Angel Farris; and her siblings, Calvin Fortson, Catherine Strickland, Betty Baker and Mattie Susan Black.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Hoyle; her children, Rev. Alisa Greene (Jerry) of Charlotte, NC, Sonya Ladda (Rodger) of Huntersville, NC, Theresa Lipscomb (Larry) of China Grove, NC, Johnny Hoyle (Pamela) of Salisbury, NC and Leemon Hoyle; her daughter-in-law Tammy Wilson of Concord, NC; her stepchildren, Joe Hoyle Jr. of Newark, NJ and Deborah Reliford of Raleigh, NC; her brother-in-law Billy Roy Brown (Lula) of Charlotte, NC; and her close friends, Beverly Brooks and Lois Alexander. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
