Though Marcia Geneva may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her son G. Donovan Dunlap; and her siblings, Patricia Sloop Wallace and Chris Sloop. She is survived by: her husband G. David Dunlap; and her siblings, Steve Sloop (Patricia) of Rockwell and Wanda Sloop Blackwelder (Bennie) of China Grove. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, one great nephew and two great-great nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (http://www.mda.org) or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
