He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Sherrill Lingle; his parents, Ervin Lingle and Mamie Lingle; and his siblings, Edna Grissom (Elijah), Wilburn Lingle (Annette), Elvis Lingle (Ruby), James Lingle (Izetta) and Ervin Lingle, Jr. (Betty).

He is survived by: his siblings, Vernon Lingle, Virginia Kluttz and Gilla Wingo. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center Grove Cemetery fund.
