It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Richardson (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on July 18, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jefferson Maddox, Sr. and Adele Griggs-Maddox; and her siblings, Shirley Goodman, Evelyn Johnson, Bonnie White, Thomas J. Maddox, Jr., Calvin Maddox, Waddell Maddox and Bobby Dean Maddox.

She is survived by: her husband Robert D. Richardson; her daughters, April Dixon of Waldorf, MD and Devonia Mason (Joe) of China Grove; and her grandchildren, DJ, Cadarreus, Arianna, Devin, Mariah and Darion. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
