It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Helms of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Clay Gaddy and Lois Turner Gaddy; and her husband Barry Helms. She is survived by : her daughter Laurie Helms Beaver; her granddaughter Lilly Beaver (Austin Grunden); her siblings, Ann Isenhour of Kannapolis and Eddie Gaddy (Marie) of Union Grove; her nieces, Hayley Carmichael and Caroline Hager (Seth); her great-nieces and great-nephews, McCoy and Wyatt; and her niece Turner.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Whitleys Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Whitleys Funeral Home Chapel (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Carolina Memorial Park (601 Mt Olivet Rd, Concord, NC 28083).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis NC 28081.
