It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Esther Mills of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 88, on March 6, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Earl H. Steele and Rena Carter Steele; her husband Bennie Ray Mills; and her brothers, Bobby and Sonny Steele.

She is survived by : her children, Terry Foster (Terri) of Kannapolis, Chuck Foster (Julie) of Charlotte and Denise Johannes of Kannapolis; and her sisters, Brenda Belk (Ralph) of Landis and Jeanie Deese of Monroe. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 42 Lisk Ave. NW, Concord NC, 28027 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus Co. 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis NC, 28083.
