As Mayra departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mayra may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mayra leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Ruiz and Rosa Ruiz; her brother Osvaldo Ruiz; and her brothers-in-law, Carl Basinger and Caroll Barger.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth G. Young; her children, Karen Young-Burleson (Bradley Burleson) and Kenneth C. Young; and her sisters, Adaljisa Basinger and Delma Heileman (Michael Heileman). She is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to CVAN (Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network) in Mayra's memory by supporting a cause she deeply cared about.
