He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse C. Jr. Morton and Katherine Furr Morton. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Renee Scercy Morton; his children, Mike Morton, Jr. (Alana) and Jennifer McGuire (Scott); his grandchildren, Trey, Jesse, Katie, Laney, Molly Morton, Madison, Makenzie, Grayson and Easton McGuire; his sister Becky Morton; and his half-brother Jesse C. Morton, III.
