Philip Eugene Long Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip Eugene Long of Kannapolis, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Philip shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Philip farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ephriam Ernest Long and Ophelia Evalina Barnes Long; and his wife Emelia Mendoza Long. He is survived by: his sons, Tony Long (Jacquie) and Dr. Tim Long (Trisha); his grandchildren, Sydney Presnell (Ethan) and Marshall Long; and his girlfriend Sharron Gaddy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
