With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rashad Yahya Rashada (Kannapolis, North Carolina), born in Milford, Delaware, who passed away on September 16, 2022 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Isaac Thompson and Cassie Lee Robinson Thompson; his son Anthony Bradford; his siblings, Annie McDaniel, Irene Brittingham, Tyrone Thompson and Willie James Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Caron Thompson and Joshua Brittingham.

He is survived by : his wife Jameelah Rashada; his children, Rashada S. Rashada of Concord, Rasheeda L. Rashada of Midland and Terry Smith of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Sayyid Y. Gibson, Kameelah B. Fenderson and Amayah A. Dudley; his great grandchild Sahara S. Gibson; and his sisters, Ivery Worthy of Delaware, Rosa Pettyjohn of Delaware, Charlotte Thompson of Delaware and Vynella Delesline of Wilmingon.
